Shannon Bex
Born in Portland, Oregon, Shannon started dancing at 6 years of age. In her freshman year of high school Shannon and family moved to Bend, Oregon were she became involved in drama, dance team and choir. After school she moved back to Portland to become a dancer for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers for 5 seasons. Shannon sang in "5 Guys Named Moe" (local cover band). During this time she also leased apartments and worked in property management. Shannon appeared on NBC's FAME with Debbie Allen and came in second place. It gave her a taste of what life ahead was to be like. She spent time writing, studio work, choreographing and was an instructor for North West Dance Company to help develop her skills as an alround musical artist. During this time she also married her first love Ron Basada. The next step in Shannon's career was auditioning for season 2 of Making the Band 3. During one of the dance stages in front of Diddy, she was called out by Diddy to dance on her own in front of everyone on stage. She did it with a smile on her face and her on point dancing amazed both fellow competitors and Making the Band 3 viewers. Shannon succeeded making the band by keeping a clear vision of her goal and focusing on doing her best. Fact File
